Ham Roll Ups

Ham Roll Ups -- submitted by Mrs. Chamberlain

You will need.....

1  8oz package of crescent rolls
4  thin slices of deli ham
4  thin slices of cheese (I use swiss)
    Mustard
    Sesame seeds

Make 4 rectangles with the dough.  Press the diagonal seam with your fingers to make the rectangle (two triangles make one rectangle).  You can roll the dough a little with a rolling pin to make it a bit bigger.  Then place a slice of ham on each rectangle of dough. Spread a little mustard on the ham and add a piece of cheese.
Carefully roll the dough from the short end to the short end, tucking all the ham and cheese in the dough, and pressing the end with your fingers. Roll the log in sesame seeds.  Slice each log into six to eight pieces.  Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.   Enjoy your snack!

Mrs. Vincent's Donut Cookies

You will need the following ingredients (take them all out and put them in your cooking area first):

          4 eggs                                   1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons vanilla              3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup sugar                            1/2 cup vegetable oil
          4 1/2 cups flour                       1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Beat eggs with mixer, add milk, oil, vanilla and sugar.
Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt and gradually add to wet
mixture.
Shape the dough into donut shapes by rolling "snakes" with your hands and
forming O's on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 10 to 15 minutes.
Cool
Frost with a mixture of confectionary sugar and milk. You can color the
frosting with food coloring and add decorations like sprinkles on top.

Scrambled Eggs

Ingredients:  2 eggs, pat of butter, salt and pepper.
Utensils: bowl, fork, small frying pan, spatula

1.Crack two eggs into a small bowl and mix with a fork.  Remove the little bits of egg shell that fell in.
2. Melt a pat of butter in a frying pan over low heat and pour in the eggs.  Use your spatula to keep moving the eggs around so they cook evenly.
3. Different people like their eggs differently, so take yours out whenever they look done to you.  Shake on a little salt and pepper.  Careful, not too much!

Egg in a Frame

Ingredients:  1 egg, 1 slice of bread, 2 pats of butter
Utensils:  smalll frying pan, spatula, glass or cup

1. Cut a hole in the center of the bread with an upside-down drinking glass.
2.  Melt one pat of butter in the pan over low heat.  Toss in the bread and break the egg into the hole.  Don't worry if you break the yolk.  Cook until the bread is golden brown on the bottom.  (You can peek with the spatula).
3.  Turn the bread (with the egg) over, put the remaining butter in the pan and use your spatula to make sure it gets unter the toast.  Continue frying until the egg looks done, no more than a couple of minutes.
